Sitara-i-Imtiaz is a prestigious award given by the government of Pakistan to individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their respective fields. It is the third-highest civilian award in Pakistan, after the Nishan-e-Pakistan and the Hilal-i-Pakistan.

History of Sitara-i-Imtiaz

Evolution of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz

Over the years, the Sitara-i-Imtiaz has undergone several changes and modifications. In 1972, the award was redesigned, and the ribbon was changed from green to dark green. In 1977, the award was again redesigned, and the ribbon was changed to light green. In 2003, the ribbon was changed to dark green with a thin white stripe.
