How much do players at the World Cup get paid?
As the most important part of a winning team, players also get paid more when they play at a World Cup.
Even though each national team and player has a different base salary, they all get a share of the prize money their team wins.
FIFA lets each team decide how much each player gets, and Germany promised to give each of their players a bonus of almost $400,000 if they won the title in 2006.
Reports say that Australia will pay each of its players AU$226,000 in 2022, plus an extra $290,000 if they make it to the knockout stages.
